Booksigning Event: Lindbergh Journals

Monday May 21st (4:00-7:00 pm)

Reeve and her Mother Anne Lindbergh

Reeve Lindbergh has published journals of her Mother, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, which include letters to her Aviator husband Charles Lindbergh from 1947 to his death in 1974, as well as letters to their five children and friends and acquaintances. Reeve will be at Gloucester Arts on Main signing (new) books from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on May 21st. She will also give a short presentation. Twice Told Tales will bring not only the new Journal for sale, but a selection of books by other members of the family that are still in print. Refreshments will be served!


Arty Membership Meeting

Spend a quiet evening with us enjoying a DVD lecture on the impressionist paintings in the Louvre. Members and others welcome, refreshments will be provided. This is your chance to view a one of a kind series free of charge, kindly loaned to GAMi. Become a member of the gallery and join us every fourth Thursday of the month! Membership meetings involve you as an artist, collector, and neighbor in our community. Get inspired, vote, and help support the arts!

A Fundraising Event to benefit The American Heart Association inspired by the story of Holly Jackson. Art must be submitted by June 1st for the Silent Auction to be held June 1- 30, 2012 – application forms available here. Artists may decide to keep or donate 85% of sale;15% going to GAM. $15 entry fee goes directly to American Heart Association. Final bids due at reception July 6th. Submit your art today! Volunteer Opportunities

Gloucester Arts is always looking for willing and able people to share their time and talents in order to grow and flourish as the best arts organization in Gloucester County. Many different skills are needed to help cover a wide range of duties such as community relations, painting, marketing, helping set up for events, fundraising, moving artwork, general "fixit" work, administrative assistance, and other light renovation work. Gloucester Arts on Main welcomes submissions from artists who are interested in exhibiting their work at Gloucester Arts on Main gallery. More information on submitting a proposal for consideration to the jury panel at Gloucester Arts on main is available in the Events & Exhibits page.

Gloucester Arts on Main is also interested in scheduling a wide variety of art class options that appeal to art students of all ages and abilities. More information on becoming an art instructor at Gloucester Arts on main is available in the Classes section.

TWO Art Galleries for Gloucester!

The Main Street Arts Building is now home to two art galleries, Gloucester Arts on Main and the Village Art Gallery.

Gloucester Arts on Main, a working art gallery and art education center, hosts a painting "Open Studio" on Friday mornings and is currently hosting exciting classes, workshops, and special events. Many new events are on the schedule, including special exhibitions, artist lectures, and film nights. See the Events & Exhibits page for more details.

The Village Art Gallery, recently moved from the nearby Morton Building and still operated by the original owners, presents local artists using a variety of media. Come by and check us out! The artists run the gallery, so you may get a chance to talk to “your” artist.


Event Space Available
